Atty. Kate Casagrande Zarro

Attorney Kate M. Zarro

With more than 10 years experience, Kate practices in a variety of legal areas, including residential real estate, small business, wills and estate planning, probate, juvenile law (and DCF), and small business.  She is a trained and experienced mediator.  In addition, she partners with other area firms to address any personal injury matters. 

Kate (Casagrande) Zarro graduated with honors with her juris doctor from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.  She became a trained mediator in 2012 through Quinnipiac's Center on Dispute Resolution.  She is a registered mediator with No Lawyers Allowed.  


Going the Distance

When Kate is not in the office, she enjoys playing sports and participating in triathlons.  In 2016, she completed her first half-Ironman distance triathlon - 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run - 70.3 miles total.  (Pictured left is Kate celebrating with her husband after the race.) She also enjoys  playing on recreational volleyball and softball teams.


Giving Back

Kate has served since 2013 on the board (currently as chair) for TEAM, Inc., in Derby, a community action agency focused on anti-poverty initiatives in the community.  TEAM's services include early childhood education, Head Start, fuel assistance, Meals on Wheels, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Toys 4 Kids, Diaper Bank, and more. TEAM's mission is to strengthen the community by educating, supporting and empowering individuals and families.  She has a passion for fundraising for TEAM and other non-profit organizations in the Valley.


Family & Faith

Kate has been blessed with a great family, including her husband, James, and Jack, a rescue Beagle-Bassett-mix dog from Alabama.  She is active in her church and enjoys singing Sunday mornings.  Her faith in God is what drives her in her work as an attorney.
